Merritt Schlanger’s passion for jewelry began at a very young age, when her great aunt gifted her a bag filled with bold antique jewelry. From that moment on she was hooked.

As an adult, Merritt, a New York native with a degree in Fine Arts, entered the fashion industry as an editor for Gotham and Hamptons magazines. After surrounding herself with creative people she decided to focus on her passion for designing jewelry and launched her first collection Classic Rocks in 2010.

Her newest venture, Merritt Taylor Jewelry, designed and handcrafted in Manhattan, takes inspiration from vintage pieces that Merritt has collected over the years. Transforming those concepts into a modern collection of fine jewelry that balances bold geometric lines with a timeless elegance. The pieces are significant enough to be worn alone but lend themselves to being layered, in turn creating a contemporary and sophisticated look with classic polish.

The line incorporates white, yellow and rose 18-karat gold with high quality white and colored diamonds.
